Application Privacy

Last updated: September 12, 2026

Abillity is built on a simple principle: your money is your business. This Privacy Policy explains how Abillity handles your information, which is to say the app does not collect it, and we never receive it. Your records live on your device, and they travel only to your own private iCloud, and only if you ask them to. By using Abillity, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Data Not Collected

Abillity does not collect or share your data with us or third parties. Your records stay on your device, and sync, when you turn it on, reaches only your own private iCloud.

1. Information We Collect

Abillity does not collect personal data. The app does not require an account, sign-in, email address, or any other identifying information. We do not collect device identifiers, usage statistics, crash reports, or analytics of any kind. Nothing you enter into a record is ever transmitted to us. Not its amount, not its category, not its notes. Abillity does not connect to banks, cards, or any financial institution, and every figure in the app is one you typed yourself.

2. Data Storage

Your records, categories, and settings are stored locally on your device. We operate no server and no database of our own, and the app has no back end to send your data to. Abillity also offers optional iCloud sync, turned off by default and switched on by you. With it on, your records are stored in the private database of your own iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit, where they stay yours and remain unreadable to us, and Apple's handling of that data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy. Turn sync off at any time and your records stay on the device.

3. Third-Party Services

Abillity does not integrate with any analytics platform, advertising network, crash reporter, or tracking SDK. The only network requests the app makes are to Apple's own services: CloudKit, if you turn on iCloud sync, and the App Store, for the optional purchase. Your activity inside Abillity is not observed, recorded, or shared in any form.

4. Data Security

Because Abillity stores your records locally, their security rests on your device's built-in protections, including iOS sandboxing, your device passcode, and Face ID or Touch ID. Anything synced to iCloud is protected by the security of your Apple Account. We recommend keeping iOS up to date, enabling device-level authentication, and using two-factor authentication on your Apple Account.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. Any changes will be reflected on this page. Because Abillity does not collect any data or send any messages of its own, we cannot proactively notify you of changes. Please check back periodically if you want to stay informed.
